On our escorted tours of Norway, you can enjoy a selection of the following activities:

• Travel to a reindeer farm, where you’ll meet and feed the reindeer — and learn about Sámi traditions.
• Meet a real-life rocket scientist at Andøya Space Centre. Embark on an interactive visitor experience to learn about the science of the aurora borealis.
• Visit the famous Lofoten Islands, with their craggy peaks and colourful, wooden houses. Experience the raw beauty of nature and explore the area’s vibrant art scene.
• Take a road trip like no other, travelling to Andøya, Vesterålen’s northernmost island — a place famed for its dramatic mountains and long, sandy beaches.
• Go on a sea eagle safari. Travel by boat to see these majestic birds of prey up close.
• Chase the northern lights each night with your aurora guide. Travel to remote regions with dark, cloudless skies. Gather around the bonfire and wait for the aurora borealis to appear.

We only run small group tours in Norway, up to a maximum of eight people. We can also arrange private escorted tours for couples, families and friends.

The northern lights are a little unpredictable. But we do everything we can to maximise your chances of seeing the aurora borealis on our tour packages to Norway.

We take you to remote regions with very little light pollution, where the northern lights shine brightest.

Our expert aurora tour guides are also skilled at tracking down areas with clear, cloudless skies. You’ll travel with them, each evening, to places where the aurora is most likely to appear.

During winter, northern Norway is very cold. There aren’t many hours of daylight and temperatures rarely rise above freezing. So people dress for comfort and warmth.

We recommend bringing thermal base layers, a middle layer and a warm jumper. A warm, winter coat, walking boots and waterproofs are essential. You should also pack a hat, gloves and warm socks.

For nighttime excursions and fjord cruises, we provide Arctic outerwear. This includes a snow jacket, thermal overalls, snow boots and Arctic gloves.
