“Fantastic trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. Had three different tours arranged and all three were absolutely spectacular. My family and I enjoyed every aspect of the holiday and my mum got the see the lights on top of one of the glaciers! Arrangements were flawless and we did not experience a single problem. I can highly recommend this company. Damien”

“We were thrilled with our Iceland short-break which exceeded our expectations. The day tour even better than we anticipated as we had our guide to ourselves in a great super-jeep! He went out of his way to be helpful and gave us a great really long and varied experience. The snowmobiling was also well-organised and great fun and absolutely everything ran to time.

“Hotels excellent, Jeep tour in my mind could not have been better, the guides where top notch, informative and total gentlemen excellent in all respects! Lynden”

“This really was the most exhilarating, surreal experience we have ever had. To be on the top of a glacier, with the infamous Eyjafjallajokull and not a soul in sight, sliding down on ‘lids’ will remain with us always. Both Gummi and Magnus were excellent guides and you are fortunate to have discovered people who remain enthusiastic about their country even though they must be repeating the same stories each day. Their smiles never wavered and we really do look forward to returning one day to discover more of Iceland. Once our children grow up a little more and flee the nest, we will definitely be coming back to you to discover more of the world and would thoroughly recommend Aurora Nights. Thank goodness for google searches…With best wishes Siân and Richard Woellwarth”

“Our thanks for organising all the trips and excursions – the company you used, Sila (not sure of spelling) was really good company and obviously very knowledgeable making for a great day out. Snowmobiling the following day was also great – all the vehicles being Sila’s pride and joy making us feel very safe. As you can tell we have had a fantastic stay, once again thanks to you and your organising of the trip. Angela Bottomley”

“Abigail’s phone call at the Airport to keep us informed was so very welcome and we arrived to the most amazing snow blizzard any of us have ever experienced! Such fun especially since Saeli and Magnus met us because we could hardly see each other let alone be able to find the road! Saeli and Magnus took us on an amazing trip the following day and it was just one new and amazing experience after another for the rest of our holiday.

“Saeli and his team looked after us in every respect. We had lots of fun learning about Iceland, and we were constantly surprised by the stunning scenery and fantastic people that we met. The northern lights even managed to make an appearance (even though it was slightly cloudy)… We would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to get away from it all, and experience as much as Iceland has to offer in a short break. Rebecca”

“No aurora but the most fantastic hospitality and care by the team- it was just Fabulous! The competitive nature against the Norwegians up the mountain was truly funny and although weather precluded getting to the top it was a great day out. Our young driver was a great guy and I could have listened to him all day. It was also nice to meet nice people to join up with over dinner and only small groups – it gave you the option also to remain solo. Fiona Tooley”

“I wanted to send you an email about our recent trip to Iceland. Firstly compliments on the organisation, because everything worked perfectly!!! We had a great time, and we did see the Northern Lights so we were very happy about that. Saeli was a star! Not only was he hugely knowledgeable and professional but he is a really lovely guy and we got on very well, having similar senses of humour! He certainly gave us a tremendous experience, and went above and beyond. It is amazing to see wild conditions, and to experience how quickly conditions can change. So a very good trip, many thanks for the suggestions you made for the day with Saeli, that was really a highlight!!”

“It was amazing everything and I mean everything you stated and arranged was simply spot on. I would summarise it as a professionally arranged break that meets all our expectations and more. The partners used to deliver the trips were second to none, and they entertained us and met our every need. The super jeep trip and snow mobile are so worthwhile and the unstructured tour guides are the best I have come across – really nice people. Thanks you to you and your team will use you again. Thanks Ian Day”

“We had a fantastic time in Iceland. It was a great trip for a family with older children (15 and 12), and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights both nights we were there. Both the guides we had on our day trips were excellent, and we learned a huge amount from them. The glacier was beautiful, and we were also taken to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and to a black sanded beach. It was a glorious sunny day and the guide asked if we wanted to go to the beach on the way home. All the tour said yes so off we went! The day was described as 4-5 hours and we were out for about 7 hours. The Snowmobile tour guide was equally good. ”

“The whole trip was brilliant from start to finish & everything went without a hitch. The aurora were visible all 3 nights. The activities were excellent. We would like to commend Magnus who took us to Porsmork for his knowledge & cordiality. We will definitely be using Aurora Nights again. Kind Regards Jane”

“The jeep trip through Porsmork was brilliant too. Tomas the driver was excellent, helpful, knowledgeable, funny and a brilliant driver. This trip was well worth it, however much it actually cost. We would be grateful if you could pass this back to your Icelandic contacts for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Mind you, being manhandled out of the SuperJeep by 2 strapping vikings was an added extra for me and caused my husband plenty of amusement!! (They will understand this part, they were laughing too). The Golden circle trip was another great trip. I think the guides name was Guist?? Again, very helpful and knowledeable and full of information about Icelandic life, outlooks and ideals. Would we recommend this holiday?? Too late, already have. It all ran so smoothly, everything on time and better than anticipated. Would we go again? Definitely. Regards Liz”

“The SuperJeep trip on Monday from Hotel Ranga was amazing. We accessed places I would not have thought possible and really enjoyed the whole day. Our guide was excellent. Regards Chris Brown”

“Trips were superb. Magnus and Smoulder took us everywhere the weather allowed us go. Smoulder tried so hard to get us up to the top of the glacier but the weather forced us back down. Nothing was any trouble to them. They really could not have done any more for us. Every single minute was awe inspiring. Silus arranged for me to go riding. Another box ticked to ride an Icelandic horse! And we DID see the Northern Lights!! Best wishes Kym and Bill”

“Both Saeli and Magnus were brilliant… they really made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well that we really didn’t want to come home! The Northern lights did not make an appearance whilst we were there, however that didn’t matter as all the other elements of the trip were so amazing we felt really lucky to have experienced everything in the way we did. Thanks again. Tom & Zanna”

“The golden circle was incredibly well run, the timings at each venue was long enough for those of us who wanted time to take pics. The Snowmobile – all I can say is that we had to get rescued twice as I could not keep up with the pace of the rest of the group but we had guides in the front and at the back, so it was very safe. I am very pleased that we did it though 😉 once in a life time experience. For my 50th we did the lobster feast tour (on my actual birthday). We were very lucky with the weather – it was about 1 Celsius without the chill factor but was dry. The only area in Iceland free of cloud, in the evening of the 7th January, was the exact area we were going to for our lobster feast. Very lucky. Thor and I kept checking our apps predicting auroras and weather but we were warned that things can change suddenly and Thor was very hesitant in getting our hopes raised for seeing the Aurora Borealis. The timing was almost precise to the 11pm true magnetic midnight when the lights started dancing. Thor drove us to a remote piece of land with no light pollution and we were literally screaming with joy. It was fantastic. We got home at about 2am buzzing from the most awesome experience. We will certainly recommend you company. What a great 50th Birthday Celebration. Thank you very much kind regards Elaine”

“We thank you all for superb arrangements and excellent execution of this great trip and exciting adventure. Highly recommended!! The efficiency and punctuality of all were certainly noted – a great thanks to Nick, John and Thor for their patience and informative excursions. Thanks for a most remarkable experience, so well organised. An exceptional way to celebrate someone special’s special occasion 🙂 Best wishes Moira”

“We had a fabulous time thank you. Particular highlights were the Super Jeep trips to the Golden Circle/snow mobiling, and the northern lights (which we saw, if not at their best, but at least we did see them!). The Super Jeep guys were great, and particularly the guy who did the Golden Circle tour was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. I particularly liked that he would drop us in one spot, then leave us to walk around, picking us up somewhere else. Thanks for a brilliant break! Liz”

“Our break was fantastic thank you. Everything went according to plan. Hotel Ranga was amazing, we saw the northern lights every night, and our glacier/waterfall SuperJeep trip was brilliant, mainly because our driver/guide, Magnus, was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I can thoroughly recommend his trips. Thanks again! Sharon”

“The holiday was superb and couldn’t be faulted. Our hat off goes to the 4 x 4 guide we had for the waterfall tour, he was called Sily or Silie. He was superb and did his best to make it the most pleasurable experience. He took us everywhere he possibly could and into the darkness, extremely polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour. A happy Mike & Lisa”

“Highlight of the holiday was the SuperJeep trip. Really good fun and our driver Magnus was brilliant. We managed to drive to the top of the volcano with the unpronounceable name in glorious conditions and he made the tour very flexible and it was 7 hours (much longer than advertised) – a real experience. The UK team keep us informed of poor weather conditions all the time and were an excellent support to us. Cliff”

“Sæli was a fantastic host who made every effort to ensure our every need was met. He gave us plenty of time without being over-intrusive. He ensured we always had ample choice of good food and provided some excellent meals in the evening. During the day he always allowed us the time we wanted to see the sights and went out of his way driving through snow and ice to show us a few sights not on the normal tourist map. Best regards Marian and Gerry”

Sharon”

“We had a great time thanks – a varied, exciting and different break. The itinerary and organisation was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed Iceland and the day trip (snowmobiling/Gulfoss/Geysir etc) in the 4WD super-truck was memorable.”

“The excursion we had with Magnus was excellent with lots of fantastic things to visit – he was very adaptable and helpful and the day was mixed and varied. Irene”

“We had an absolutely amazing time. Seeing the jet black sand at Vik contrasting with the white snow on one side and the white waves on the other was stunning. And of course the waterfalls were frozen which made for some great photography. Our Golden circle tour was also brilliant because there was snow everywhere and the sunrise up by the mountain lake was breath-taking. We were the only ones snowmobiling on the glacier and despite the temperature being about – 19 it was a real adventure”

“We were treated to some brilliant views of the Northern Lights on our first night. The excursions were well organised and very enjoyable. I could write pages on The Golden Circle Tour but I doubt I could do justice to the brilliance of the experience and the enthusiasm and pride of the people involved in taking us. “

“Everything went perfectly. The guides were all very good, particularly those for the northern lights and SuperJeep trips. The SuperJeep day was excellent and about the right level of activities vs driving (the snowmobiling on the glacier was simply awesome). The guide for the northern lights tour was steadfast in his mission to find them despite a ton of snow falling every second and others in the group naysaying the whole endeavour. Turned out he was spot on, the sky cleared and there they were, good on him. All in all the trip was excellent and we both thoroughly enjoyed it”

“The hotels were excellent, as were the tours and the service from the local team. We had a fantastic time in Iceland. It’s a beautiful place.”

“All of our guides were extremely hospitable. Many Thanks for organising a truly memorable experience”

“We did see the lights – on the Lobster tour. The driver was a star – wouldn’t give up the hunt because he said everything was perfect for them to be there and he was determined to find them – and he did!! Fantastic. Even lent us a tripod to take photos”

“We have had wonderful support from everyone both before and during our holiday. Our guide for the second day, Golden Circle was particularly good. “

“Thank you so much for organising a simply amazing trip. Our Thorsmork trip was truly exceptional and our guide Magnus certainly went the extra mile to make it an unforgettable day. He was great. John”

“Colin and I had a fabulous time in Iceland. It’s a very beautiful country and all the tours and activities we did were very well organised. The volcano/jeep tour stand out as a particularly special day. The tour guides on the volcano tour were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, and we had a very full and enjoyable day, despite poor visibility preventing us from going to the top of the volcano.”

“ Thanks. We had a great time. All excellently organised and all worked perfectly. All organised tours etc. were really good and we loved them. Magnus in Thorsmork our favourite guide was excellent. We loved it and have recommended already to several of our friends. BW John “

“The trip was excellent . A particular highlight was the tour – our guide Siggi was superb. Nothing was too much trouble & he provided a really personal tour for us. Kind regards, Kevin & Karen Burr”

“The guides are fantastic. Magnus was a wonderful guide and Siley a superb host, and his girlfriend ,whose name escapes me – a marvelous cook. When you thank them please send our wishes – we miss them! Alison”

“Saeli was an absolute star – met by the waterfall as arranged and everything with him went as clockwork. The food he (and his wife) cooked for us was quite simply astounding – way too much in truth (fantastic hospitality) but fantastic flavours and variety. We loved all the meals provided. Magnus, our SuperJeep guide, was also great – very personable and at no point rushing us, letting us enjoy our time with no pressure to be anywhere at any time. In summary, we had a super trip – thank you. The trip with you isn’t the cheapest but we recognise that you take care of everything – all arrangements ran smoothly, local representatives were superb, excursions all catered for etc. Our experience in Iceland mirrored the smooth administration in Sweden – hats off to you for running a tight ship with your local agents. Regards Mark and Sahdona “

“Saeli turned up about seven in the evening with enough food to keep a family of twenty going for a week, and prepared dinner for us. We got on like a house on fire, and over the next three days he showed us everything possible, and some we thought impossible. He is without doubt quite a character and seems to have done so many varied jobs! We talked some nights till half eleven. On the last but one day he took us to the hotel in Reykjavik and made sure we were booked in and happy before he left..…The service we have had from you, and Saeli has been excellent. His girlfriend’s cooking and his serving of it couldn’t be beaten (he even had us try, rotten shark! If you feel the need to experiment with that I have one word…Don’t, or the seaweed; they are both vile. But we had a laugh trying them anyway). Please pass on our best wishes to them all. This was our second trip with you and I doubt it will be our last. Best regards Tom and Marilyn Sangwin”

“Our day out with Saeli was amazing, what a nice man! Although we couldn’t go to the volcano due to low cloud we had an unforgettable day. Our Golden Circle trip was also fantastic …Once again many thanks for arranging our trip for us, it certainly ranks high on our list of wonderful holidays. Gill and Les Hawketts.”

“It was an absolutely superb trip (tummy bugs not withstanding). Saeli and his team are simply brilliant at what they do, so that all the arrangements appear effortless and seamless although I know for sure that an enormous amount of work goes in to making it appear like that! All of the arrangements ran to time and were as advertised and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights twice when we were there. Even when I got ill and then so did my husband, Saeli consistently checked what he could do to help and I know you acted likewise to modify our booking at the Reykjavik hotel and ensured that we could stay put in the cabin for our recuperation – that was very much appreciated! Best Regards, Fiona”

“ The Jeep trip was amazing and if you could pass on our thanks to Magnus, who gave us more time than he needed, that would be fab. Phil Moran”

“The SuperJeep day of exploring, with our awesome guide Gustie, was definitely a highlight (along with the lights showing up for us on Saturday night!). The weekend lived up to all our expectations and we really appreciated how smooth everything went. Thank you for organising such a great trip. Jenny”

“Our guide for the Northern Lights (Valdi) was friendly and knowledgeable and we were lucky to get a glimpse of the dancing lights. We were booked for the Thorsmark jeep trip but Valdi suggested we drive to the Eyjafjallajokull volcano as the weather forecast was good and the views would be amazing. Having no experience of either we agreed to the suggestion, we had a great day in the super jeeps although several hours were spent at the top of the glacier as one of the jeeps in the convoy became stuck. However Valdi made sure we were ok and continued to entertain with his history of Iceland and his stories of trolls! Ann Joseph”

“We had a picture perfect day today. Hilmar did a great job timing the road trip so we were climbing the glacier in the pink sunrise . Arriving to the top in bright sunshine . He provided the clampons and really helped us climb. Afterwards parked most scenic location and had soup and Skyr. He also is a great driver as I’m sure you know. Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in Iceland.”

“We’ve come back down to earth to say what an absolutely amazing time we had in Iceland. We had expected to be impressed by it, but not as bowled over as we were! Truly unforgettable and Grahame had lots of surprises built in along the way. Both guides were great for the Lights and the Glacier trips too; Grateful thanks to you and the team for the impeccable organisation, making it such a fabulous trip! Very best wishes Sue”

“The short break was better than we expected. The two trips which were organised for us again the staff were great and very knowledgeable, unfortunately we did not see the northern lights but this means we will have to do it all again . Sign of a good tour company was that they contacted us by email when they saw the report of bad weather coming in to check all was ok with us . Neil”
