Traverse through snowy forests, alongside frozen rivers, and perhaps even glimpse some of the local wildlife. Your experienced guide will share insights into the park’s unique ecosystem, geology, and history, making this hike both educational and invigorating. Your guide will lead you down one of the beautiful local trails. A good example is the trail which meanders along the scenic Abisko river canyon. You will wander through an ancient mountain birch forest, enjoy stunning open views of the Abisko river delta, marvel at soaring mountain peaks, take in all the beautiful scenery around the incredible Lake Torneträsk and much more. All of our guides are highly trained and will share their deep pool of knowledge about tracks left behind by our local wildlife, local indigenous people of the region and what it is like to live in the Arctic

This shared excursion, approximately 4 hours long, is designed to maximise your chances of witnessing and capturing the magic of the Northern Lights. Led by expert guides, you’ll venture into prime viewing locations within Abisko National Park, far from any light pollution. Your guides will not only help you find the best spots for aurora viewing but also provide valuable tips and assistance on how to capture stunning photographs of this celestial phenomenon. Even if you’re a beginner photographer, you’ll learn how to adjust your camera settings to capture the dancing lights. A delicious 3-course dinner will be included during the excursion, adding to the magic of the evening. Return to Abisko Mountain Lodge with incredible memories and hopefully some stunning photographs of the Northern Lights.

Snuggle into the sled and let a team of enthusiastic huskies guide you through the Arctic wilderness. Enjoy the stunning views and the peaceful serenity of the snowy landscape. A warming lunch will be included during the tour, providing a delightful break amidst the Arctic beauty. Note: While this tour involves sitting on the sled, an upgrade to self-driving the dog sled may be available upon request, offering a more hands-on experience.
