Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Ivalo and Settle into Wilderness Seclusion

Arrive in Ivalo where a private transfer will whisk you through snow-covered landscapes to Wilderness Hotel Nangu, set on the edge of frozen Lake Inari. Check into your Panorama Log Cabin, a semi-detached retreat featuring a private outdoor hot tub, in-room sauna, kitchenette and fireplace. The peaceful setting and lake views create an immediate sense of escape. After collecting your winter outerwear for the days ahead, settle into the calm pace of Lapland life. Dinner is served in the hotel’s lakeside restaurant, where panoramic windows let you watch the sky shift from dusk to stars. This is a place of stillness, space and quiet celebration – ideal for couples looking to unwind, reconnect and embrace nature’s rhythm. With luck, you may see the Northern Lights from your terrace, but even without them, the blanket of snow and the silence of the forest make this a magical first evening.

Day 2

Reindeer, Sámi Culture and Husky Safari

Today offers a deep dive into Arctic life with a shared full-day experience celebrating Lapland’s most iconic animals. First, meet local reindeer and their Sámi caretakers. You’ll learn about the cultural significance of reindeer herding and have the chance to feed and photograph these gentle creatures. It’s an enriching encounter that brings tradition and storytelling to life.

Next, shift gears with a thrilling Husky Safari. After an introduction and sled-driving lesson, you’ll set off across snow-laden trails pulled by a team of energetic dogs. Drive one way and ride the other, taking in frozen lakes, silent forests and wide Arctic skies. A warm lunch will be served mid-day around a fire, offering time to reflect and soak in the atmosphere. Return to your cabin with rosy cheeks and unforgettable memories, then enjoy another hearty dinner. The peaceful isolation of Nangu allows for a true digital detox and deep reconnection with the natural world.

Day 3

Snowmobiles and Aurora Safari with Wilderness Dinner

Fuel up with breakfast before meeting your private guide for a snowmobile safari into the surrounding wilderness. After full safety instructions and practice on a closed track, you’ll set off through forest trails, gliding past frozen lakes and remote valleys. With only the hum of the engine and the crunch of snow beneath you, this is an exhilarating way to explore Lapland. Return mid-afternoon to relax, warm up, and perhaps enjoy your hot tub or sauna.

In the evening, prepare for the most romantic experience yet: a private Aurora Sledge Safari with a wilderness dinner. Wrapped in blankets and inside a heated sledge, you’ll be towed through the dark Arctic forest by snowmobile, guided to locations where the sky is clearest. If the Northern Lights appear, your guide will stop for viewing and photography. Dinner is served at a remote fire-lit cabin or laavu, featuring traditional flavours and warm drinks. Return late with hearts full and fingers tingling. You may choose to spend this night in a glass-roofed Aurora Cabin, where the sky becomes your ceiling.
