Perched upon the rugged, volcanic plains of Southern Iceland, the Panoramic Glass Cabin stands as a testament to the beauty of isolation.
Panoramic Glass Cabin in Iceland

Located at the foot of the Hekla volcano, these architectural jewels offer a rare opportunity to dwell within the landscape rather than merely observing it.
This is a retreat for the soul, where the raw elements of Iceland meet a refined, minimalist aesthetic to create an experience of profound stillness.
A Theatre of Glass and Light
Each lodge is a masterclass in Scandinavian design, featuring a bedroom constructed entirely of glass. Here, the boundary between the warmth of your sanctuary and the untamed Icelandic wilderness simply evaporates. From the comfort of a custom-made bed, you are granted an unobstructed 360-degree view of the celestial heavens.
The experience is defined by the shifting moods of the North:
-
The Celestial Ceiling: During the winter months, the lodge becomes a private observatory for the Aurora Borealis, allowing you to drift to sleep as emerald ribbons dance directly overhead.
-
The Midnight Radiance: In summer, the glass walls invite the eternal amber glow of the midnight sun, bathing the interior in a soft, ethereal light.
-
Intimate Comfort: Despite the transparent design, total privacy is guaranteed by the vast distances between the lodges and the thoughtful placement of the oak-clad living areas.
The Luxury of the Elements
At Panoramic Glass Lodge, luxury is found in the purity of the experience. Every lodge is equipped with a private outdoor geothermal hot tub, sunk into a terrace of Siberian larch. Soaking in these mineral-rich waters while the Icelandic wind whispers across the tundra provides a sensory contrast that is both invigorating and deeply calming.
Inside, the lodges feature:
-
Artisanal Interiors: A seamless blend of raw steel, warm oak, and volcanic stone that mirrors the textures of the island.
-
Gourmet Independence: A fully equipped kitchenette allows for a slow, self-catered stay, ensuring your schedule is dictated only by the rising sun and your own desires.
-
Nordic Warmth: High-end walk-in showers and luxury linens provide a tactile sense of comfort against the rugged backdrop of the Hekla lava fields.
Into the Wild
The location serves as a secluded gateway to some of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. Situated away from the traditional tourist trails, yet within reach of the Golden Circle and the dramatic South Coast, the lodges offer a sense of true discovery.
Guests are encouraged to explore the surrounding landscape at their own pace:
-
Volcanic Vistas: Hike through the undulating terrain shaped by ancient eruptions, where the earth feels vibrant and alive.
-
Silent Reflection: The absence of light pollution and noise makes this one of the quietest corners of the island, perfect for photography, meditation, or simply reconnecting with the natural world.
-
Coastal Exploration: Venture out to the black sand beaches of Vik or the cascading veils of Seljalandsfoss, knowing your glass-walled sanctuary awaits your return.
An Immersive Icelandic Odyssey
Panoramic Glass Lodge is a celebration of the “less is more” philosophy. It is a place where architecture bows to nature, offering a front-row seat to the most dramatic spectacles on earth. Whether you are watching a storm roll across the horizon or waking to the sight of grazing horses in the distance, a stay here is an invitation to witness the heartbeat of Iceland in total, sophisticated seclusion.

Northern lights tour reviews
We booked with Aurora for a short winter break to celebrate an event. We wanted something special and that’s what we got. Clear information was backed up with straightforward booking detail, and we had a super, holiday with no complications.
The holiday exceeded my expectations and I will use Aurora in the future. Thank you!
My wife and I had an awesome and memorable trip to Iceland thanks to Alex at Aurora Nights. Alex tailored the itinerary to exactly what we wanted to see and chose excellent hotels to stay at. We totally enjoyed the city of Reykjavik and the many beautiful waterfalls. He went above and beyond to not only recommend sights to see around the Golden Circle and Ring Road, but also mapped it out so we were prepared to drive through the country during unpredictable weather and road conditions. And we were especially pleased to see the Northern Lights on our visit. Alex was very flexible to make changes to our plans and choosing the wonderful Sky Lagoon to replace our tickets for the Blue Lagoon due to the closure from the volcanic activity. We highly recommend Alex and Aurora Nights.
An amazing trip and excellent service provided by all involved. Great value for money too. Food was excellent. Accommodation was wonderful and the trips booked were outstanding. An amazing trip
Cannot thank this company enough. Our break to Iceland was the second time we’ve let them organise everything for us and once again they didn’t disappoint. Everything ran seamlessly and the organised tours were wonderful. This company knows what they are doing. If you want to experience the geysers, the volcano, the northern lights and all the other exciting things that Iceland has to offer then this is the company to use.
